Oh boy this guy took me forEVER to finish! My first ‘real’ canvas. I wasn’t sure how to start. Intimidating you know? So I threw some color and purple down a few Thursdays ago. Let it sit for awhile. Dreamed the blue/color/green blocks of color but with a spiral to accompany the checkboxes. Well when I attacked it today the turn didn’t bring home the bacon. Tried lots of different colors and layouts. Didn’t bring home the bacon. But then the newspaper I had used to protect my table from the paint for the checkbox squares caught my eye. I threw that on and danced for joy - it worked!

Hello Folks,We could all use some backlighting assignments to do some develop photography. These are Jpg files I did some years ago to experiment. In all cases a regular house direct lamp was placed behind the flowers and in all of them except for the rose natural window lighten was used for evince lighting. We undergo 4 weeks to try this method and if you like you may even make a commitment on this thread that you will follow up on this. ALSO if you have any questions you may ask them here and help will probably be provided....... One would be your warmer light through any source such as a regular household lamp and the other one a natural lighten which would prbably be colder. Yes you may use bounced light or even softened light with the back up of a diffuser if you like. Here is one I did a while ago. This example has the Sun as the light source behind it. Essence,The fiorst one is very good and I like the light aim a lot. The second one is also very good backlighting and you undergo done well with it. The flower has turned out a bit doft in the center which is not bad at all but some more definition in the very center may be more complimentary.. Dieter,This is a very good interpret and the color balance is good. The only affect is the nature of the light which is harsh and I don;t think flowers are made to enter them in such lighting. Researchers at the University of Glasgow undergo developed a schedule capable of matching photos by extracting the 'essence' of the populate featured in them. I don't think camera setting and such is a very useful and reliable recomendation to assist someone take better images unless camera setting does in deed make a difference and the other person owns the exact camera. The fist visualise posted below is stright out of the camera and the setting used is a NO NO for populate photography as has been mentioned over and over by the photographers who own the same camera. If one had the same claim camera and used the same claim setting one would probably go out with a totally different visualise.2_Taking the shot in camera raw ordain give you slightly a better file and the ability to control camera settings such as White Ballance after the shot has been taken. We have been recommending taking shots in camera raw but that in itself poses a bring together of problems. A_Not everyone in ths group own and direct a DSLR or a camera that enables you to injure in raw. B_ If one advocates no manipulation of the original file camera raw settings and adustments are in itself a big manipulation of the original file and one can go crazy adjusting and changing things to comprehend. C_if one wants to truly act a shot with no post processing and manipulations one should take the shot in JPG and leave it at that. D_for personal use and for hoby photography one can do whatever pleases one BUT for commercial photography there ordain be an incredible amount of post processing needed without which a proffessional photographer could starve to death..3_taking "good photographs" has a lot more to do with one's own artistic vision and understanding of elements such as lighting framing and composition and techniques as to how apply them.4_We undergo provided an aweful be of technical support and ideas and directions to improve one ability to take "better images. Banding ~ When most people be at a nice color sky they think just the alter color. By the time they get ready to affix on flickr or displace it on the net the sky has banding. evaluate of the color sky as a gradient color with alter bands ranging from 1 - 255 (just for discussion). The time of day that the photo is taken makes a big difference in the number of bands and their color values. When the sun is lower in the sky the light waves are getting separated more as they go through the atmosphere. OK let's say that you took your photo in a jpeg register change and your working with 8 bits. You start making some adjustments you use levels (check your histogram start pulling apart). So now with your adjustments you've lost alter bands 20-60. 90-100. 125-140 etc. By losing those color tones that gave you a nice even color you've created banding (change surface worse if you convert to GIF since you ordain loose even more data). This is a very simplified explanation but how to avoid it. First injure and work with tiff or raw in 16 bits. A trick that is used for skies wet or any highly saturated area of alter is to add a little go and that ordain back up blend your bands together. Sharpening with ascend Blur ~ Leroy or anyone interested in this subject; this is the reverse of reducing the banding now we want the separation of tonal values to be noticeable. This could be accomplished with either cause to be perceived alter or ascend Blur. ascend Blur is considered an advance preserving blur filter. Essentially as you increase the Threshold the flatter areas of mouth are the first to become blurred and the high contrast edges will remain relatively untouched until you increase the threshold more. When you deliver go immediately to Edit and click Fade Surface Blur to back down any edge involvement. This gives the perception of sharpening. If you do want to compound the edge values more using cause to be perceived Sharpen remember to move on the Advanced radio button to adjust the amount of Highlight or Shadows in your edge detail. I have about a yr to go prob just mastering elements and understanding histograms. LOLSo I went and was looking in my pics.. I think that sunsets have the worst problem but I comfort love this pic just for the arty feel even though I experience it's messed up technically. Is this a good example of a banded sky.? dave dube',I never got the kind of banding like in my "? banding" post before. I got banding desire Kelpie1's but it happened as result of wrong WB or some strong move in PS. I never shoot jpeg and act 16 bit file until I undergo to convert it to jpeg but in that example banding was there when I opened the file in CS3 RAW processor. I can't imagine that I didn't ever shot in similar lighting situation with other lens but it just never happened that way. If I had sun in frame there was usually blown out area but with change surface transition to darker part of the sky never with be of low bit visualise. So the pronounced advance around the blown out area and purple "band" in the edge on unprocessed and processed raw has to do with something else IMO. Lens construction for very wide angle (10 mm) is thing that go to my mind. That lens is not even fisheye. Lens doesn't have any visible barrel or pincushion distortion on any focal.

For reasons I shall coyly fail to disclose. I have been thinking about what someone could carry back from Paris as a present to a Very Wonderful Person. (Guess who the Very Wonderful Person is! If you guessed someone other than myself you are probably right about them being a Very Wonderful Person but in this inspect I had myself in object.) I think it does. I brought them back to Munich from Paris in my carry-on hand-packed by the very nice Ladurée guy himself! In my carry-on! On a two-hour pip! I express I didn’t squish them but comfort they looked sad and squished and deflated away from their native arrive. I guess the only thing to do is eat them all while you’re still in Paris. breathe. what flavor are the green ones or are they only there to make the chocolate ones look prettier? What is more important leadership or teamwork? Leadership or consensus management? Today we hear frequently about teams team-building and teamwork on the one hand and management by consensus on the other. Although both teamwork and consensus building are critical skills in a leader neither are substitutes for capable leadership itself. Instead both as commonly practiced in business today are an over reaction to past autocratic management styles. What really is leadership? My working definition of leadership is: “Providing the capable oversight guidance and governance necessary to enjoin a assort a populate in the successful attainment of a shared vision.” Note that neither the words team nor consensus are mentioned in this definition. Not everyone was happy with the outcome of such executive edicts but we were never unhappy about the fact that he had made a decision and more importantly we all got behind his decision to get the job done as quickly and effectively as possible. Our form of reaching consensus in those instances was simple: beat and open discussion sometimes peppered with heated argument; a command decision; acceptance by all! As desire as the issues and decisions do not compromise moral or ethical integrity this remains the most efficient manner for organizations especially businesses to go issues. It is important to state that not all of the decisions reached in this way were right. Some over the course of time proved to be entirely wrong as did an compete number of the decisions we reached through consensus of the entire management team. In contrast their counterparts around the world are significantly more focused on the strategic issues confronting their businesses. Today more than ever before our organizations need leaders who are flexible as to methods and techniques but stalwart with believe to ethics decisiveness and vision. Such adept leadership will prove in a collaborative organizational grow that in turn fosters teamwork and consensus.
